TERMS OF
USE.

These terms govern the use of the Match Moments app and website, which are intended exclusively for recording sport. By using the app you agree to them.

Effective from: 21 September 2026

⚠️

Sports recordings only

You may use Match Moments only to record, store and share recordings of sports matches, tournaments and training sessions. No other videos and no other use of the Service are allowed – we will delete such content, even without prior notice, and in case of repeated or serious breaches we may block the account.

Read the full rule in Article 3 →

1. Operator and conclusion of the contract

The Match Moments app and website (the “Service”) are operated by RS SKALA s.r.o., ID 23027495, with its registered office at Nové sady 988/2, Staré Brno, 602 00 Brno, Czech Republic, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Regional Court in Brno, Section C, Insert 144050 (“we”). You can contact us at info@matchmoments.video.

By creating an account or using the Service you enter into a contract with us whose content is set out in these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Service. How we process personal data is described in our separate Privacy Policy.

2. Description of the Service

Match Moments is used to record sports matches and to create short clips of recorded moments (goal, chance, save, foul and more). It lets you manage organisations, teams and matches, record with one or several phones, store and play clips, share them publicly and connect with the Hockeybook platform, including controlling cameras from the match sheet. The Service is available as a mobile and web app.

The Service is currently provided free of charge. If we introduce paid features, we will inform you of their price and terms in advance and nothing will be charged without your explicit consent.

3. Use exclusively for sports recordings

The Service is intended exclusively for recording sports matches, tournaments and training sessions and for creating, storing and sharing clips from them (a “sports recording”). A sports recording may also include footage that naturally belongs to the event, such as the line-up, breaks, the bench or a goal celebration.

Any other use of the Service is prohibited. In particular, you must not:

  • upload videos that are not sports recordings, such as private videos, vlogs or recordings of parties, concerts and other events unrelated to sport
  • upload recordings of TV or internet broadcasts, films, music or any other third-party content, including by filming a screen
  • record in changing rooms, showers, toilets or any other place where people reasonably expect privacy
  • use the app as a security or surveillance camera or to record people covertly
  • use the Service as general storage, a backup or a tool for sharing files that are not sports recordings
  • create matches, teams or organisations solely to store other content under them

We will delete content that is not a sports recording or that was uploaded in breach of this Article, even without prior notice. We are not liable for the loss of content deleted in this way. In case of repeated or serious breaches we may suspend or terminate the account. We will inform you of the deletion of content or the restriction of your account and state the reasons (Article 9).

4. User account

Recording requires registration. You may create an account if you are at least 15 years old; the account is personal and you must not transfer it to another person. You agree to:

  • provide true and up-to-date registration details
  • protect your password and login credentials
  • inform us without delay of any unauthorised access to your account
  • be responsible for all activity under your account, including the activity of admins and other people you give access to your organisation or match (for example timekeepers)

5. Recording people and uploaded content

You are responsible for the recordings, clips and other content you upload. You confirm that:

  • you have the consent of the match organiser and follow the rules of the competition and of the venue where you record
  • recording and publishing do not infringe the rights of the people shown (players, referees, coaches, spectators), in particular their rights to their likeness and privacy, or data protection law
  • for minors you obtain the consent of their legal guardians where required and handle their recordings with particular care
  • you only upload logos, names and images you hold the necessary rights to
  • you will comply with a justified request from a person shown to delete a recording or make it unavailable

With regard to the personal data of people captured in recordings, you – or the organisation you record for – are the controller; we process this data on your behalf as a processor under Article 13.

6. Public sharing

By turning on sharing for a match you make its clips available to anyone with the link and agree to their display in the league catalogue on matchmoments.video. You may only share sports recordings whose publication complies with the rights of the people shown and of the organiser.

You can turn sharing off at any time; the link will stop working and the clips will disappear from the catalogue. This does not affect copies that someone may have saved in the meantime.

7. Rules of use

When using the Service you further must not:

  • upload content that is illegal, offensive, violent, pornographic or discriminatory
  • infringe the rights of others or the law
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the system or to other users' data
  • overload or disrupt the operation of the Service, circumvent its technical restrictions or scrape content from it
  • impersonate other people, teams or organisations
  • use the Service to spread spam or unsolicited advertising

8. Intellectual property and licence

The Match Moments app, including its design, code, logo and texts, is protected by copyright. You may not copy or modify it without our consent beyond what the law allows.

Content you create (recordings, clips, team and match data) remains yours. You grant us a free, non-exclusive licence to store it, process it technically (format conversion, cutting clips, thumbnails) and display it to the extent necessary to operate the Service and in line with your settings, including displaying publicly shared clips on the website. The licence ends when the content is deleted. You are responsible for the content and for any infringement of third-party rights.

9. Content moderation and notices

We do not systematically check user content in advance. Uploaded logos are automatically checked by an inappropriate-content classifier running on our server; a logo that fails the check is not saved. We may check videos and clips at random or based on a notice. Decisions to delete videos and clips or to restrict accounts are made by our staff, not by an automated system.

Anyone can notify us of illegal content or content that breaches these terms at info@matchmoments.video. Please include a link to the content, why you consider it illegal or not permitted, your name and email, and a statement that the notice is submitted in good faith. We will confirm receipt of the notice and inform you of the outcome.

If we delete your content or restrict your account, we will tell you by email, stating the reasons and the scope of the measure. You can object to the decision at the same address within 6 months; the objection will be reviewed by a person and we will inform you of the result. This does not affect your right to go to court. We will report content giving rise to a suspicion of a criminal offence threatening the life or safety of persons to law enforcement authorities.

Our point of contact for users, for the authorities of EU Member States and for the European Commission under the Digital Services Act (DSA) is info@matchmoments.video; you can communicate with us in Czech and English.

10. Availability of the Service and storage

We strive to keep the Service running continuously but do not guarantee 100% availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates or technical problems. We are not liable for outages or for the loss of a recording caused by the device, the network or a lack of storage space.

We may set limits on the size of uploaded files and on storage, and we may change the Service or its features. The Service is not backup storage – keep important recordings elsewhere too. If we were to discontinue the Service as a whole, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance so that you can download your recordings.

11. Limitation of liability

We provide the Service free of charge and “as is”, without any warranty that it will be error-free or meet your specific needs. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the loss of data and recordings, interruption of the Service or indirect damage and lost profits arising from its use. This limitation does not apply to harm caused intentionally or through gross negligence, to harm to a person's natural rights such as life and health, or to consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited by contract.

12. Suspension and termination of the account

You can delete your account at any time (see the Delete account page), which ends the contract. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, in particular Article 3, and in the case of a serious breach with immediate effect. We may also terminate the contract without giving reasons with 30 days' notice. We will inform you of the suspension or termination of your account and state the reasons. After the account is deleted we will remove personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

13. Processing of personal data in recordings

For the personal data of people captured in recordings – players, referees, coaches, spectators and others (in particular their image and voice) – you or the organisation you record for are the controller. We process this data on your behalf as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR for as long as you use the Service, by storing it, adapting it technically, playing it and making it available according to your settings. We undertake that:

  • we process the data only on your instructions, given through these terms and through your settings and actions in the app, unless the law requires other processing
  • people with access to the data are bound by confidentiality
  • we protect the data with appropriate technical and organisational measures (see the Privacy Policy)
  • we will engage another processor, in particular a server provider, only under the same obligations; you give us a general authorisation for this and we will inform you of changes in advance so that you can object to them
  • we will help you handle requests from the people shown and fulfil your other obligations as controller
  • we will inform you of a personal data breach without undue delay
  • after recordings are deleted or the account is closed we will erase the data unless the law requires it to be kept, and on request we will demonstrate compliance with these obligations, including allowing audits to a reasonable extent

We do not transfer recordings outside the European Union. We check compliance with these terms (in particular Article 3) and handle notices under Article 9 as a controller, based on our legitimate interest and our obligations under the DSA.

14. Changes to the terms

We may reasonably change these terms, in particular due to changes to the Service or the law, or for security reasons. We will inform you of a change by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree with the change, you can terminate the contract by deleting your account before the change takes effect; otherwise, by continuing to use the Service you accept the change. The current version is always available on this page.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another EU Member State, this does not affect the protection afforded to you by the mandatory provisions of the law of that state. Disputes are decided by the competent courts of the Czech Republic; consumers may also bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence where the law allows.

Consumers have the right to out-of-court dispute resolution. The competent body is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (coi.gov.cz).

If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force. These terms are available in Czech, English and German; in case of any discrepancy, the Czech version prevails.
